Blocked DPFs
A DPF rarely blocks on it’s own unless there is certain driving conditions – which is rare. In most instances the DPF becomes blocked due to a fault elsewhere on your vehicle.
It’s very important to find and fix this fault first – before carrying out a DPF clean. Otherwise, your DPF could block again.

DPF Assessments
We carry out a DPF assessment to find out what’s gone wrong. We’ll then inform you of any repairs that are required (if any) and if a DPF clean is also needed.
Some minor repairs are covered in our DPF assessment fee. Not every DPF problem, “blocked DPF” or DPF warning light means a clean is necessary.

DPF Cleaning
We’ll never do a DPF clean until we have completed our DPF assessment. We only carry out DPF cleans once we’ve cleared or repaired the faults causing the DPF warning light to come on or the DPF to become blocked. Then, and only then will we carry out a DPF clean.
